Terry Mclean earned her B.A. in Business from Brenau College, and later completed a Master's in Education in ESL from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is currently studying for her Doctorate in Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Terry has over twenty years’ experience teaching English, nine of which were spent working with high school students in rural North Carolina. She also has experience teaching abroad in Germany, where she worked as a private ESL tutor for five years. She is an instructor for the graduate-level Bridge IDELTOnline^TM course, as well as a tutor for Bridge.

Shélynn (Shey) Riel holds a Master of Education in TESOL and over fifteen years of experience in education. Specializing in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and intercultural communication, Shey is a global English language educator, teacher trainer, and education consultant. Shey has held positions of leadership in curriculum development and program administration at universities and non-profits in the U.S., served as a facilitator for various digital exchanges for global English teachers, and delivered professional development to teachers on the ground in Argentina, Bangladesh, and China. She adopts a holistic approach to education, emphasizing balanced environments for learning and reflection. Shey is the co-creator of The Teacher Think-Aloud Podcast, which serves as a reflective practice for teachers of English around the world.
Alongside her work as an instructor for the graduate-level Bridge IDELTOnline™ course, she is Bridge's Expert Series Webinar Moderator, facilitating live monthly webinars that bring together ELT experts to share insights and perspectives on the latest industry trends.

Rachel started teaching English when she moved to China in 2010 where she taught students of all ages from 4 to 60 years old in a variety of settings including language schools, primary or secondary schools, universities, and as a private tutor. After living and teaching in China for more than five years, she moved to Bali in 2015 where she started teaching English online. Rachel has a Bachelor of Science in Music Industry Studies with a Minor in Business and also holds multiple BridgeTEFL certifications including the 60-hour Introductory Educator Certificate and the 60-hour Certificate in Teaching Business English. She assisted in developing the curriculum for the Succeeding as an English Teacherpreneur course and became an online tutor with Bridge in 2023. Rachel still continues her international travels today as a full-time traveling digital nomad. When she's not in class or jet-setting across the globe, you can find her working on her travel blog for digital nomads or seeing her favorite bands in concert.

Denise earned a Bachelors of Elementary Education in 1995 from the University of Alberta, Canada, and also holds a Cambridge Delta Module Two (Developing Professional Practice). After university, she spent a year in Japan where she taught English. Upon returning to the U.S., Denise got her Colorado teacher credential, and in 1997 came to Bridge. Her career at Bridge includes teaching ESL classes, developing & building curriculum, leading professional development & mentoring for teaching staff, and since 2003, serving as a trainer/tutor for Bridge TEFL / TESOL programs: Head IDELT™ Trainer for Bridge in Denver, Cambridge CELTA trainer, and Bridge online tutor. She is also an approved IELTS speaking examiner. Currently, she is an English Language Teacher and SIOP (Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol) coach/Instructor for an online tuition-free high school in Colorado.

Leah earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature in 2012 from the University of Colorado, and also holds a Cambridge CELTA certification. She began teaching at Bridge Education Group, Inc. in 2014 and has taught ESL classes of all levels, including test preparation, grammar, reading, listening, and speaking in Academic, Business, and General English programs. She has also assisted in curriculum development for the General and Academic English programs. Additionally, she is an invigilator for the IELTS exam. In 2016, Leah became a teacher trainer for the Bridge program as an IDELT instructor in Denver and in 2020, Leah became a tutor for Bridge’s online programs.

Karina lived most of her childhood in the U.S., but moved to Argentina as a teenager. She has a master's degree in psychology and has been involved in the education field for many years. Karina’s career began nearly 30 years ago, when she taught Business English classes at international companies, and during that time she also taught general English to young learners. She has also shared her knowledge in the field of English teaching as a speaker at TEFL / TESOL conferences. Karina joined Bridge in 2003 at our center in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where in addition to being a Bridge tutor, she is also an IDELT trainer.

Ashli has been teaching English since 2002, in both the United States and Costa Rica. She has a Bachelor’s in Linguistics from the University of Washington, a Master’s in Education from Arizona State University, and a TEFL / TESOL certification. Her teaching experience ranges from working as a special education teacher in a school with a high English language learner population, to teaching Business English in Central America. In addition to being a Bridge tutor, Ashli currently teaches English at a university in Germany.

Cheryl Madrid, Ed.S (Specialist in Education) has been an online TEFL / TESOL tutor and IELTS examiner for Bridge since 2009. She has worked as the academic coordinator at an intensive English program in Denver and currently works as an ESL instructor for the Denver Public School District’s Family and Community Engagement program and for adults that want to attain their GED diploma. She enjoys time with her family (especially her grandson), as well as reading, traveling, gardening and getting to know her TEFL / TESOL trainees.

Gabriela, or “Gabby,” has over 25 years' experience Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL / TESOL). She has worked as a classroom TEFL / TESOL teacher for more than 15 years and as an online tutor with Bridge since 2005. She has experience teaching a variety of levels and ages, in settings ranging from preschools to large corporations, and everything in between. She has an Associate's in ESL Education and a Bachelor's in Public Technical Literary Translation. She has also completed extensive post-graduate work in TEFL / TESOL, including at the University of Santa Barbara, CA.

Tiffany Hendrix earned her bachelor's degree from Indiana University. There, she worked as a study abroad advisor, accompanying students to Ecuador, Greece, and France. After earning her master's degree at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Tiffany taught history and English Language Learning (ELL) in the Clark County School District and also taught in Guatemala. Tiffany joined Bridge as an Academic Director for centers in Chadron, Nebraska and Grand Junction, Colorado. She has presented at iTESOL conferences in Utah and is an active member of iTESOL and TESOL. In addition to being a Bridge tutor, she is currently teaching French and ELL in Western Colorado.

Liset was born in Cuba, but lived part of her life in Cape Verde, an island nation off the coast of Africa. After earning her Bachelor’s in Education, she went on to earn a Master’s in TESOL from the School of International Training in Vermont, as well as a Master’s in Applied Linguistics in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language, from the University of Jaen in Madrid. She is currently working on her Doctorate in Education. Liset earned her TEFL / TESOL certification in Barcelona, Spain, and a certificate in Teaching Business English in London. Liset has taught English in Cuba, Cape Verde, Spain and the United States and speaks several languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, and Creole. She currently lives in Salem, Oregon, where is an English Language Acquisition Specialist for the Salem-Keizer School District. Liset has been a Bridge tutor since 2004.

Based in Thailand for many years, Rex grew up in California, but considers Hawaii his "spiritual" home. Rex has a Master's in Educational Psychology, a Bachelor's in Counseling Psychology, and a CELTA certificate from the British Council in Singapore. He has more than thirty years’ experience in the field of TEFL / TESOL, including management and teacher training experience in Hawaii and Asia. Rex has taught English in a variety of settings, including the Hawaiian campus of Japan's Tokai University, the University of Hawaii, and Canadian International School in Singapore. He also served as head of the English Language Department for the Singapore Institute of Commerce, the oldest business school in Singapore. In addition to being a Bridge tutor since 2008, Rex is also an online ESL teacher.
